OUR STORY
Get to Know Us
Our yearly tradition involves bestowing holiday blessings upon families seeking additional hope during Christmas. Volunteers distribute a variety of gifts, ranging from dolls to bicycles to toy trucks. This initiative extends beyond a mere toy drive. According to our founder Cathy Staton, the goal is to craft lasting holiday memories for children who have faced transformative life events.
Operation Wish List fulfills the desires of children residing in homeless and domestic violence shelters across Hampton Roads. The organization collaborates with social services, foster care systems, and certain schools within the region, receiving referrals for children who are most in need of support.
Having experienced domestic violence, this cause holds personal significance. Cathy and her team dedicate Christmas Eve morning and the preceding days to organize and pack toys donated by community members and various sponsors, which are then gifted to families. Year after year, this organization lifts spirits and give back communities that are often overlooked.
MyHelpMyHope Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the silence and eradicating domestic violence, homelessness, and human trafficking.
